Bi Gan (B.O de M83)
Bi Gan’s Resurrection, which won the Special Jury Prize at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, features an original score by M83. The film’s opening sequence was orchestrated by Zakarius of Verba Volant Studio.
Somewhere between a tribute to silent films and psychedelic hallucinations, the strings and woodwinds weave their way through scenes of great poetic beauty, oscillating between instrumental pointillism and grand, flamboyant unisons, to reflect the dreamlike visions that span a century of Chinese history.
The soundtrack to “Resurrection” on vinyl: an electronic and orchestral odyssey by M83 for Bi Gan’s visionary film, which won the Special Prize at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
