Requiem
Berywam (feat. ONCT)
Berywam and the choir of the Opéra National du Capitole de Toulouse tackle Mozart’s Requiem, arranged for beatbox and choir by Zakarius of Verba Volant Studio, in a live session centred on the voice.
THE ARRANGEMENT
Taking up the opening theme of the Lacrimosa, the arrangement plays on counter-melodic responses and a low-register rhythm featuring deep 808s. The famous Confutatis is then superimposed on the main theme, in canon, to form an energetic climax in which lamentations mingle with anger.
